Bisanz Lab Website Our mission is to understand how microbial diversity shapes host physiology.

Isabella is an undergraduate student at Penn State, pursuing a molecular biology major. She is an international student from Ecuador and enjoys being part of a lab that allows her to learn new things every day. Isabella is currently working with different Lactobacilli strains that have been genetically modified to sequester Mercury from their environment. She also loves reading, cooking, running, and traveling. She loves being outdoors and learning how the natural world around her works.
